I couldn't be happier. Don't forget 1ct is combined size. I would go bigger. I'm glad I didn't go smaller. The earrings are beautiful and I recieved them as promised. A great experience.

3 out of 5 stars Not quite as described or pictured   July 27, 2010

Let me first say that my girlfriend was very happy with these earrings, and she didn't want to give them up. However I am quite a bit pickier. These are not certified diamonds, and that accounts for the differences here. I bought a pair of ~1 ctw diamond earrings for my gf this past Christmas that were also not certified, but they were locally graded by my jeweler. The clear diamonds I bought were actually slightly less than .5 carats each (.47 I believe). The blue diamonds I received are noticeably smaller than the others when held next to each other or placed in the same ear. They have not been removed from their settings to be weighed or graded by my local jeweler, but the difference is obvious to the naked eye. I would say these are closer to .75 ctw than 1 ctw IMHO. If there is going to be a variance in tcw of the diamonds (and of course there will be some difference in selection), there should be a minimum listed instead of what is probably a maximum. Color is another issue I have with these earrings. They are a much deeper blue than pictured; more typical of blue sapphires than diamonds. Now since I am comparing these diamonds to a pair I bought loose 9 months ago I should also say that I paid almost 3 times as much for what I got before. So the final verdict using the four C's...1)Color is not as pictured and much darker, 2) Cut is probably in the fair range with not very much sparkle, 3)Clarity is very difficult to determine because they are so dark, which is probably a good thing, 4)Carat is noticeably smaller than advertized. If none of this dissuades you from buying these because you think it's a great price for unusual diamond earrings, then go for it. My advice is that you buy blue sapphires instead at half the cost.
